I was delighted to be invited to tell some stories of Chorley Road – the A6 – for the Not Quite Light Weekender 2024 in Swinton. I chatted to passers-by, local business owners, pub customers and shop assistants as I drew inside and out. It was February and a bit chilly.

As well as displaying the sketches and stories as part of the Weekender we made an A6-sized ‘zine’ as a celebration of this part of Salford.

And on the weekend itself I ran a little urban sketching workshop, drawing some local landmarks, which was a lot of fun.
