I was commissioned this summer by Your Housing Group to produce a series of resident portraits for their new head office in Warrington.

The Group’s fit-out architects, 5plus Architects, have worked with me on the recently published Trafford Town Hall book and, knowing my style and approach to portraiture, recommended me to their client.

After seeing the Group’s open plan office space with its high white walls I suggested producing some large flush-mounted prints with bold quotes that would reflect the group’s core principles of pride, passion and creativity.

Inspired by the wonderful Braschler and Fischer, I travelled the North West with a single studio light and small softbox which I set up in gardens, back alleys, living rooms and community centres.

I interviewed each resident I photographed and took a snippet of our conversation as the accompanying quote. There’s also a newspaper which will include all the portraits and extended interviews.
